Celebrity Big Brother saw another star leave the famous house tonight after a tense elimination.

On ITV1 tonight (April 18), another famous face was sent packing from the Celebrity Big Brother house after a nail-biting elimination.

Olympic legend Daley Thompson and EastEnders star Patsy Palmer were in the hot seat, facing the public vote with nerves on edge.

In the end, it was Daley who was the next to be evicted from the house. After the result was announced, he waved goodbye before exiting to the sound of cheers, as hosts AJ Odudu, 37, and Will Best, 40, welcomed them onto the stage.

In his exit interview, Daley described his housemates as 'great people' and appeared in good spirits. However, after being shown clips of his fellow housemates making complaints about him, he quipped that they were all "rats".

He took particular issue with the claim he did less washing up than the rest of his housemates, swearing 'on his son's life' that this was not the case.

"Jealousy always rears its ugly head," he added, claiming that his housemates had turned on him because he was 'a threat'.

ITV viewers quickly took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions, with many admitting they had predicted the result.

One person wrote: "Not gonna lie, Daley was definitely the right person to leave tonight. Out of the two Patsy was giving more and is more of an interesting character to watch develop. "

"Not shocked tbh. Shame though. Bye Daley," a second wrote, while a third penned: "I knew Daley would go!!"

Some people were sad to see Daley go, with one wring: "Oh, beloved Daley Thompson is out God Love him, beautiful man."

One more penned: "Daley Thomson is a real celebrity, a real icon and an incredible athlete. He's a star without even going on."

This eviction follows Trisha Goddard's departure as the third celebrity to exit the Celebrity Big Brother house this year, with the audience choosing to save Patsy Palmer and Jack P Shepherd instead.

Michael Fabricant was the first to leave the show, while Mickey Rourke made an early exit from the Big Brother house after several instances of using inappropriate language, reports OK!

A representative for Celebrity Big Brother commented: "Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour."

Earlier in the episode, the Celebrity Big Brother housemates faced a comical challenge where they were tasked to "become pet house cats".

Big Brother laid out the rules, saying: "Collectively you begin the day with nine lives. Throughout the day you will all face feline tasks.

"Fail a task and you'll lose one of your precious lives. To pass and win the reward, you must finish with at least one life remaining.

"All food and drink must be consumed from the cat bowls provided. So prowl with pride, stretch your paws and if in doubt, lick yourself."

In a later diary room confession, Ella expressed her thoughts to Big Brother, suggesting: "Couldn't you have had us dressed up as sexy cats, a few of us at least."
